Memories of James Hamilton
James/Jim/Jimmy passed away June 26, 2010 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma from a sudden massive heart-attack in his home. He was happy with his family, friends, and career. He was a family man, a Christian man, a proud & decorated veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War era, and a tribal member of the Cherokee Nation as well as the Osage Nation of Indians within the state of Oklahoma. He is survived by his daughter Jenny Lyon of Big Springs, Texas, son Jordan Weston Hamilton of Owasso, OK., and his brother Elmer C. Hamilton of Westville, OK. Jim always spoke well of his friends and classmates from Wyandotte High School. After completion of his higher education and two degrees, Jim's rewarding career in the aeronautics industry led him to many states and back to Oklahoma. He loved the family life and observing his Native American heritage and native traditions. As a deceased veteran, Jim was interred in 2010 at the National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, OK. with military services observed.
